Message from the Business Director
Spring is here and our neighborhoods are filled with more Service Members and visiting family members which may include children taking advantage of the warmer weather. Corvias Military Living is asking its residents to please pay attention to posted speed limits and traffic rules as they drive through Randolph Pointe. The speed limit and traffic rules in housing are designed to give the average driver the time and space needed to stop and avoid a tragedy and help keep our residents safe.
Spring is also a time for cleanup. Garrison is actively encouraging community members to pick up trash that they see around post, and Corvias will be aiding in this initiative by tasking our own employees with helping out in this effort. We would like to extend this initiative to our residents as well. We know that many of you already help keep the community looking great by picking up trash in and around the complex, and we thank you for taking such pride in your community. We know it’s frustrating walking outside your front door to find trash that blew into the community and/or that someone else littered. While it may not be your trash, we ask that you help us keep your communities looking great by picking it up and disposing of it properly and we will do the same.
One last thought - summer will be here all too soon, which means higher temperatures. It is a good idea to test your air conditioner this month to ensure that it is operating properly before that first 90 degree day hits. This is also a great time to check your A/C filters. If they need to be replaced, please stop by the community center for replacement filters.
Thank you for your continuing service to our great nation. If you have any questions please call your community center.
Sincerely,
Mark Foraker
Business Director

If the weather is nice, the lunch will be served at the pavilion, if it is raining we will bring all the yummy food inside and lunch will be served in the clubhouse. Don’t miss out on Sinclair’s grilling skills!
Month of the Military Child
April is Month of the Military Child. During this month, we take time to recognize the sacrifices of our military children, and celebrate their strength, courage and resiliency. Our youngest heroes serve by adapting to frequent moves, change of schools, parental deployments, and life transitions.
In conjunction with Month of the Military Child, Purple Up! is an initiative calling the community to show support for children in military families. You can do this by wearing the color purple on April 8th. Why purple? Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is a combination of Army green, Marine red, and Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard blue.
Corvias Military Living would like to salute our military children and show appreciation for all that they do!
Apply Now!
Spouses of active-duty service members are eligible to apply for $5,000 Educational Grants for college. Applications are due May 5 and are available at corviasfoundation.org.
Deadline for AER educational scholarships is approaching!
Army Emergency Relief also maintains two scholarships that provide financial assistance to eligible dependents pursuing their first undergraduate degree. The Spouse Education Assistance Program is designed to support spouses while the MG James Ursano Scholarship Program supports dependent children. Scholarship applications are accepted from January 2 to May 1 each year for assistance for the following academic year. Applicants can access the applications at www.aerhq.org.
Changes to calling in work orders
Have you tried to call a work order in but had to leave a message because the office staff is assisting another resident? We know this can be frustrating. In an effort to improve the way in which work orders are called in, we have implemented a 24/7, 365 days dedicated work order answering service.
The utilization of a dedicated answering service strictly for work orders has successfully been in place for the last few years at our Corvias Military Living Air Force Bases. We look forward to seeing those same results and making the work order process more efficient and convenient for you - our residents. The new work order hotline will be implemented on the following dates:
April 4, 2016
Casablanca
Hammond Hills
Nijmegen
Ste Mere Eglise
April 11, 2016
Clubhouse at Linden Oaks
Lodge at Linden Oaks
April 18, 2016
Ardennes
Corregidor
Normandy
Pope
Randolph Pointe
Corvias offers residents several convenient ways to submit maintenance service requests. Residents may submit their work orders to the Corvias Community Office in any of the following ways:
- Phone: 1-866-206-1365 - available 24/7
- E-mail: email via your community center email address
- Website: randolphpointe.com
- In-person at the Community Office:
The Community Centers are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please visit our website for Saturday and holiday hours.
If you have not already, you will be receiving a magnet in the mail with the new work order hotline number for your convenience. We appreciate your patience during this transition and encourage you to follow up with the Corvias Community Office on any outstanding work requests to ensure they have not been lost through the transition.
Thank you again for allowing Corvias Military Living to meet your housing needs during your time at Fort Bragg.
Resident trash reminders
Please remember that when you are taking out your trash to take it straight to the dumpster instead of leaving it in the breezeways by your apartment door. Leaving it by the door is unsightly but also makes the breezeways smell and is an invitation for pests. Please help keep the community looking great!
Also, as the weather heats up and dries up, it is important to remember to discard of cigarettes properly. Do not throw cigarette butts in the flower beds or anywhere on the community grounds as it can cause brush fires. We experienced several brush fires last year as a result of improperly discarded cigarettes; we would like to not have a repeat of last year. Thanks for keeping the community safe!
Corvias’ pools will open in May
The Randolph Point pool will open on Friday, May 27. Please visit your community’s website for the Corvias community pools’ hours and rules.
All Corvias pools are free of charge for on-post residents to use. Don’t forget your pool pass and military ID! Replacement pool passes are available at your Community Center. Each household is welcome to bring a maximum of four guests.
Green Corner
If every American recycled just one-tenth of their newspapers, we could save about 25 million trees each year.
