Message from the Business Director - Your opinion could be worth one month’s FREE rent!
We want to hear from you! Comments and feedback from you – our residents – helps us know what we should continue to do and what areas we can improve to continue to meet your housing needs.
Every year, the HQDA RCI (Residential Communities Initiatives) conducts their Resident Satisfaction Survey via e-mail. This year, the survey will run from May 5th – June 6th at all Corvias Military Living Army locations. Please click here to read the attached memo from Lieutenant General, David D. Halverson, IMCOM Commander and GS Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management. This important survey will help ensure the continued success of the RCI program in meeting your needs and will help guide the Army and Corvias in the development of future improvements to our homes and services. This survey will be administered through a third party, CEL & Associates, Inc. (CEL). The survey results are confidential, so please express your true opinions and thoughts. All residents who complete the survey will be entered to win one grand prize of one month’s FREE rent!
Make sure that we have your correct email address to ensure that you receive your survey. Click here to update your contact information. Don’t wait – update today!
We look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for your continuing service to our great nation. If you have any questions please call your community center.
Sincerely,
Mark Foraker
Business Director

What you may not know about your cooling system
Heat pumps are widely used across the South and other temperate climates. During the summer, a heat pump absorbs heat from inside and releases it outside, cooling the interior in the process. Heat pumps in Fort Bragg homes are designed to keep the interior temperature 15 to 20 degrees below the outside temperature. Turning the thermostat lower will not lower the interior temperature below this 20 degree threshold.
This is completely normal and doesn’t mean that your cooling system isn’t working properly. In periods of extreme heat, you may need to take active steps to help your home maintain a comfortable temperature. Setting the fan switch on your thermostat to “auto”, and changing your air filter(s) every 30 days will help your home remain a comfortable temperature regardless of the season.
We recommend that you test out your air conditioner before the weather heats up. If you have any concerns about your system working properly, do not hesitate to place a work order to have it evaluated by calling the work order hotline at 1-866-206-1365. You can also complete work order via:
- E-mail: email via your community center email address
- Website: randolphpointe.com
- In-person at the Community Office
As the weather continues to warm up, please, keep in mind the following response times for air conditioning work orders:
- When the outside temperature is below 84, the ticket is considered “urgent” with a 48 hours response time.
- If the outside temperatures exceed 85 degrees, the work order is an “emergency” with a 4 hour response time.
Please help keep the community looking great
Keeping our community looking great is a team effort. Our team is out in the community picking up trash to keep the grounds clean but it also takes the help of you – our residents. It may not be your trash on the ground but picking it up and disposing of it properly helps keep your community looking great.
Please remember that when you are taking out your trash to take it straight to the dumpster instead of leaving it in the breezeways by your apartment door. Leaving it by the door is unsightly but also makes the breezeways smell and is an invitation for pests. Please help keep the community looking great!
Your community managers also welcome residents who would like to discuss specific concerns or questions.
Summer camps
Do you have kids coming to visit you during the summer? After a couple of days of sleeping in and relaxing, parents usually start hearing “I am bored” from their kids. There is a variety of summer camps held both locally and throughout the state to help keep your kiddos busy and entertained while they are visiting you during the summer. Many of the summer camp registrations start soon. You can visit the many activities offered via Fort Bragg CYSS Summer Camp at http://cdn.armymwr.com/files/2914/6013/7928/brgg-cyss-summer-brochure-2016.pdf.
The Fayetteville Observer also has an annual Summer Camp Guide that includes over 70 amazing camps for kids and teens in the area. There is something for everyone ranging from sports, arts, cooking, academics, and much more at http://www.fayobserver.com/camps/.
Green Corner
How can you become more energy-conscious in your home? Turn off all lights, electronics and appliances when not in use. Invest in power strips so you have the ability to turn off multiple electronics at once! Even the smallest things can make a huge impact!
