Surface clean explained
If a PCS is in your future we want to let you know more about our “surface clean” requirement for homes at the time of move out. The surface-clean requirement is designed to ease the “check-out” process for military families and eliminate “white glove” inspections. It is no longer necessary to hire a cleaning team to achieve the level of cleanliness considered acceptable for move out. If you would like to hire a cleaner or cleaning team please feel free to do so, but it is not necessary.
Surface-clean condition implies that a home is left clean throughout. When a home is cleaned regularly, it should only require a wipe down and sweep/vacuum at move-out to deliver surface-clean condition. In detail, this means that the appliances, cabinets (inside and out), counter tops and windowsills should be wiped down with a cleaning solution and then with clear water. In addition, the floors should be cleaned with the appropriate solution to remove dirt and grime. Carpeted floors should be vacuumed. All personal items and trash need to be removed from the house. If you have specific questions or concerns, your Community Office team can walk you through the process.
Remember that RP is a no pet community
Just a reminder that Randolph Pointe is a pet free community. Per your Randolph Pointe lease, residents can have only a fish bowl and/or up to 2 caged birds. If a resident has a Service Animal and/or a therapeutic animal, they must submit a Medical Exception to Policy for approval. As outlined in your lease, visiting pets and/or pet sitting is not allowed – this includes any type of pet.
Need Wi-Fi?
Please remember that one of the many benefits of living at Randolph Pointe is the use of the internet café inside the Clubroom. The center is available to you 24 hrs which is great since the computer lab in the office is only open during office hours.
Need to call in a work order in for your air conditioner?
The warmer season has arrived. Ensuring that all residents’ air conditioners are working properly is a top priority. If you have not already done so, please test your air conditioner now to ensure that there are not any concerns. If you do have any concerns about the functioning of your air conditioner system, please place a work order via our work order hotline at 1-866-206-1365. Response times that we strive to meet are:
- Air conditioner calls when the high temperature is 85 degrees or higher: Response time to be 4 hours or less. Completed within 24 hours.
- Air conditioner calls when high temperature is 85 degrees or lower: Completed within 2 business days.
USO United through Reading
Did you know that the USO of Fort Bragg offers the United through reading program FREE for Soldiers? What is the United through reading program?
The United through Reading program allows service members to read a story on video and then have it delivered to their child(ren) that they are separated from. This makes it possible for service members to stay connected from afar and eases the pain of separation for their children. Children are also able to read a story and have the video sent to a parent or other significant adult in their life such as a grandparent
Story time is recorded on camera, and the USO mails the DVD and book home. Children can watch and listen to their parent at bedtime, naptime – or anytime. Families complete the circle by sending back a touch of home – a photo of the child watching the deployed mom or dad reading. In 2015, more than 14,000 recordings were mailed to military families worldwide.
Contact the Fort Bragg USO today to schedule your appointment.
Green Corner
Keep curtains and shades closed to help keep sunlight out. The sun can increase the temperature in a room by several degrees.
